For healing trauma, injury, and pain.
Some burdens are carried in silence, even by those who have spent their lives protecting others.
Trauma, brain injury, chronic pain, and a nervous system that cannot fully rest can alter daily life in ways others may never see. The cost can be heartbreaking.
Operation Deep Dive reports that in the United States, at least 44 former service members die each day from suicide or self-injury mortality. First H.E.L.P. also documents a significant toll of suicide among First Responders across the country.
You deserve the chance to heal.
Hope Hyperbarics offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for Veterans and First Responders living with trauma, injury, and pain.
HBOT is a medical treatment that delivers 100% medical-grade oxygen at higher-than-normal pressure, helping more oxygen reach the blood plasma, travel deeper into the body, nourish oxygen-starved tissues, and aid the repair and protection of organs and systems under strain.
Hope’s care is led by TJ Reidhead, an advanced paramedic and flight nurse, and Cassidie Reidhead, a registered nurse. Care from those who have answered the call themselves.
Post-traumatic stress is the mind and body’s reaction to a psychological injury. It can cause hypervigilance, hyperarousal, nightmares, flashbacks, avoidance, and isolation. When trauma is prolonged, the weight can deepen into Complex PTSD, heightening symptoms, and further eroding a sense of being safe.
Traumatic brain injury is a physical wound to the brain, from blasts, impacts, falls, or repeated concussions. It can cause headaches, balance problems, confusion and memory trouble, slurred speech, anxiety and depression, mood swings, and sleep patterns that never normalize.
Both wounds, the psychological and the physical, carry inflammation with them. When the brain is injured or under prolonged strain, small blood vessels tear and swell, and blood flow to the tissue around them drops. Short of oxygen, cells in that region can fall quiet, neither lost nor fully working, sometimes for years.
Red blood cells carry nearly all the body’s oxygen, and they run close to full. Swollen, narrowed vessels are hard roads for them. But plasma, the liquid of the blood, still moves where cells cannot.
This is what HBOT changes. Under pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into the plasma itself. That oxygen-rich liquid can slip through narrowed vessels, reach oxygen-starved tissue, help calm inflammation, and support the return of cell function.
If you need immediate help:
If you are a Veteran in crisis, or worried about someone who is, the Veterans Crisis Line is there, day or night. Dial 988, then press 1.
For most people, HBOT feels relaxing.
You rest inside the chamber and breathe normally while treatment is underway. Many people use the time to read, color, pray, or simply rest.
Most sessions last about 90 minutes, and best outcomes are supported by a series of 40 sessions. Your treatment plan can be adjusted based on your needs and response.
Complete the new patient intake forms, which will serve as a guide for your consultation with our licensed medical provider.
If HBOT offers an appropriate path of care, you will receive a prescription for a treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.
Start your HBOT sessions and let oxygen do what it does best: help the body’s natural capacity to repair and heal.
Our team of hyperbaric technicians is trained and certified through the International Board of Undersea Medicine (IBUM). Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine is a unified discipline focused on the therapeutic use of oxygen under pressure to treat a wide range of medical conditions and recovery needs linked to inflammation and poor oxygen delivery.
Through IBUM, we have gained deep knowledge in hyperbaric facility management, safety protocols, and HBOT chamber operation. A certified hyperbaric technician remains present throughout each session, and the treatment environment is continuously monitored.
Hope Hyperbarics uses only FDA-cleared and PVHO/ASME-approved steel chambers made in the USA.
We are a cash-based clinic and do not bill insurance at this time. HSA payments are accepted.
If cost is a concern, we can work with you to create a payment plan. We also offer need-based scholarships through our Hope for Healing Foundation.
